Preparations continue in a whirl

Siddharth informed me last night "It is still very warm, so please only bring your summer clothes".  Uh oh, thats code for you're gonna go insane in the heat.  He knows me.  So I whipped up a draped grecian gown of the lightest gossamer to wear to the inevitable garden party they will have at their compound at some point.

Another valuable lesson I learned the ONE time I got sick over there was that you need to have a stock of mild dry goods that can be made with hot water only (this is something every house boy knows how to bring you), and Nutrigrain bars.  Imagine an intestinal apocalypse and then what you might be able to eat when your stomach can again accept food?  Nutrigrain bars.  The best.  I laid on my bed for 36 hours that time and merely had to reach over and grab one every few hours.  Simple, but a lifesaver.  There is no "little grocery down the block" to get everything you need-- and if you're so sick you can't leave your room, there is no way you can explain something like this to your guest house host or the house boy to get for you.

30 Days away from my animal family....

But I weighed the good and the bad about the trip, and decided they don't know time the way our brain does, so they won't realize its a month, and they like where they're boarded, and thank god I'm leaving them here as its HALF the cost of boarding in L.A.
