6.8 Quake hits near my area in Northern India-- no problem

For a longtime CA pro, no problem, just analyzing how long it lasts, and the type of shaking to report to the seismographic website so I can help them map it out.  Mild shaking back and forth, but lasted really long, 30 seconds.

In a previous post wondering how much more can these people take, never thought demon gods would toss in a quake.  Now i must watch for fires and mudslides as well?

We were actually closer than Delhi, if it  happened in Sikkim.

Random Bits

Siddharth assigned Pradeep the driver to take me shopping Saturday

He was very easy to spot with that shirt! when I would come out of a shop and look for him waiting for me nearby.  Almost no english, but we got through the whole day no problem.
Should be such an easy catch for a fact-checker?

Milk Man

Its not an anomaly, its not a small local method, this is how the farmers bring in their cows milk to sell at the, whatever, big milk delivery factory, and then right into those cool glass bottles to your door.....

Blessing or Curse?  This is not a kindly look.

I'm not sure which variety of Sadhu or Mahatma holy man this is, but it is said looking directly into their eyes can bless you or curse you......I'm pretty sure this was not a blessing.  But soon after this I tried a fresh pressed juice at the mall, and they used ice cubes made from tap water, and I decided to take a chance.  For an hour afterward, I chanted in my head, I'm fine, I cannot be infected, I have sipped from the Ganges, nothing will happen to me, etc.  and nothing happened.   whew!  so that one curse was avoided.  I'l try to overcome it with more internal positive rejection of the curse.

Another seemingly "underground" wine shop.

It is not on the main street, but down a little alley, I asked Pradeep is it even open? seeing the gates barely open,  but I went up, asked for white wine and bought it.  But why all the bootlegging atmosphere?  I must research.
